On April 26, at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a large-scale operation meeting of the Minister dedicated to the discussion of the forthcoming tasks arising from the speech of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, at the inauguration ceremony, was held.
Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Ramil Usubov, who opened the event, attended by the chiefs of head department, department and sector of the Ministry, as well as police authorities, educational institutions of the capital, Sumgayit city and Absheron district, as well as commanders of active unit, congratulated Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of his re-election as President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, winning 86,02% of the voters in the elections on April 11, on behalf of all the staff and wished him success in the supreme statehood activity in order to improve the economic, political and military power, inclusive development of our country and to further improve the material well-being of our people.
Minister Ramil Usubov specifically emphasized that he highly appreciates the work done and the results achieved in the field of provision of security and peace in the country, in his speech at the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev and noting the existence of some deficiencies in operational and service activities, along with the successes gained, showed the ways to resolve them and gave instructions and recommendations in this direction.
Speaking about the important tasks set forth, the minister stressed the importance of ensuring citizen satisfaction in the country. Colonel General R.Usubov he demanded the implementation of the functions of the police, related to the implementation of this task, defined by law, on the basis of the principles of operability, transparency, courtesy, responsibility and peace in each structural body, compliance of the staff with the rules of ethics conduct, strengthening of the control over this work, and systematically continuation of the work on raising the authority of the police in society. He noted that the application service of modern technologies should be consistently implemented as one of the main tasks in the activity, in some cases, some employees' indifferent approach to citizens' appeals and complaints, and the corruption law violations happening at this time should be completely eliminated, special attention should be paid to the reception of citizens, pre-defined schedule should be strictly observed. Problems paving the way for justified claims of citizens should be resolved on the spot, their rights and interests protected by law should be secured, and the implementation of this work on the spots should be strictly controlled over. Provision of citizen satisfaction should be continued purposefully under the supervision of the management board as one of the major responsibilities of all structural bodies.
Participants of the event were informed that the exemplary organization of work with staff in the solution of the forthcoming tasks have also been of great importance, the necessary measures have consistently been taken in the field of professional, physical and moral-psychological trainings of the staff and positive results have been achieved in this field, over the past 15 years, in the event. It was emphasized that further improvement of morale and psychological environment in the territorial bodies and active police units, and the measures in the direction of upbringing of personal staff in the spirit of loyalty to Heydar Aliyev’s ideals, ideology of Azerbaijanism, and statehood will be continued.

Finally, the Minister, Colonel General R.Usubov assured the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev on behalf of the internal affairs bodies and Internal Troops that stability, security, fundamental human rights and freedoms in the country will be further protected safely, all the tasks set forth by the law and all the tasks put forward will be fulfilled in full.
