Azerbaijan is known as humanitarian centre and reliable place for dialogue among cultures and civilizations, fighting against the crime and maintaining tranquility in the world. All measures carried out and proved in practice, serves to fight against the crime and protect effectively the citizens’ life, health and lawful interests from illegal actions. 

Clearing up the crimes was 86, 4 percents, bettering by investigative actions and operational measures carryout out professionally with regard to restore the violated laws of the victims of crimes on the Republic during reporting period. It was stressed in Extended Board Meeting dedicated to the results of the activity on fighting against the crime and maintaining public order and security in the first-half year of 2018 in Ministry of Internal Affairs on July 14 and forthcoming tasks.

 The analyses and generalizations show that clearing up the serious and especially serious crimes increased 2,1, crimes against person -0,6,  detecting attempted murders-1,8, burglary- 2,6 and carjacking -12,8 percent in comparison with six months of 2017 year. As a result of the investigative actions operational measures continued together with procuracy authorities, 188 crimes that were closed since past years, were cleared up. The successful results obtained on the occurrences, were emphasized in the “Global competitiveness report- 2017-2018” of the World Economic Forum. It was noted that Azerbaijan is the 54th place among countries 137 by advancing 21 steps on “Reliability of police service” indicator.
