Impacts of drug dependence were discussed with pupils

In Nizami district Police officers held a meeting with the pupils and pedagogical staff of secondary school No.312. The topics “Drug dependence is a calamity of all humanity” and “The youth say no to drugs” were extensively discussed at the meeting.
Chief of the 23rd Police Department of Nizami DPD, Police major Emin Chalabiyev, said that such regularly held awareness-raising events have further enhanced the promotion of healthy lifestyles among young people. E.Chalabiyev noted that young people who have become victims of drug abuse fall into this path due to ignorance and vulnerability of their wills. Of course, if they are aware about the misfortunes that will happen to them in the future, they will be able to protect themselves.
Members of the Veterans Council of the DPD, Firdovsi Bayramov and Farhad Baghirov, emphasized the need for joint activities of the state and also of the society in the struggle against drug dependence, and recommended young people to have sound judgment in this path, to engage in sports, and to read a lot.
Senior inspector of the Department for Organization of the Preventive work with the underage persons of Baku City Main Police Department, Police major Kamala Alakbarova, gave detailed information about the drug dependence called "white death" and its consequences, ways to avoid drug addiction and AIDS, and so on and spoke about the importance of healthy growth of our future youth.
Later, Chief Inspector of the Department for Organization of the Preventive work with the underage persons of Nizami DPD, police captain Parvana Azizova said that struggle against drug addiction is a moral duty of every citizen. To protect young people from this calamity and to build their healthy lifestyle, everyone must fight together, and awareness-raising works among teenagers and young people should always be held at the center of attention.
