Violators of the quarantine regime were detained

Persons, violating the special quarantine regime and trying to carry the persons registered in the region to the capital in the cargo area of the car, were detained.

According to the information of the Press Service of the MIA, as you know, a special quarantine regime has been declared in the territory of the country to protect the health of the population in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. Unfortunately, some people violate the requirements of the special quarantine regime and try to go to the capital or in the opposite direction in various ways. In order to prevent such negative cases, measures have been taken jointly by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the employees of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Thus, based on the operational information received, resident of Sabirabad region Samit Gadirov, who works as a driver in one of the cargo transportation services, was detained. The investigation revealed that S.Gadirov agreed with one of the drivers registered in Barda region and wanted to come to the capital and, in exchange for 40 manats, hid VAZ 21074 branded car belonging to him in the cargo area of the tow truck which he was driving and him in the cabin of the tow truck and carried him through a special checkpoint on the 65th kilometre of Baku-Alat highway without following the rules of the special passage regime.

During another operation, resident of the capital Tufan Gambarov and resident of Sabirabad region Aflatun Babaliyev, violating the rules of the special quarantine regime, were detained. The investigation revealed that T.Gambarov agreed in advance to bring, for money, A.Babaliyev to the capital secretly by carrying him through a special post on Baku-Alat highway in the cargo area of a Lada Vesta branded car which he was driving. The police officers detained that person a few kilometers after T.Gambarov passed him through the checkpoint.

In connection with both facts, a criminal case has been launched under Article 139-1.1 (violation of anti-epidemic and quarantine regimes) of the Criminal Code and the investigation measures are under way.

The Prosecutor General’s Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs call on citizens to follow the special quarantine regime announced in order to protect the health of the population in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, prevent the spread of the virus in the country and its possible complications.
