An organized network dealing with illicit drug trafficking was arrested

As a result of complex operational-investigation activities carried out by employees of Garadagh District Police Department, the members of the organized network engaged in illegal circulation and sale of narcotic drugs were exposed.
During the operation, Ruslan Malikov, resident of the capital, was arrested for drug use. Herewith, 1,027 grams of heroin were found while checking him. R. Malikov said that he bought the drug from a person called Nurlan. Garadagh resident Nurlan Mammadyarov was also detained as a continuation of the operation. During the examination of the house and assistant farm, the police found 1 kilogram 279 grams of heroin, 5,026 grams of opium, 2 kg 109 grams of marijuana, as well as 6 pieces of the smoke packs, and two grenades. The detainee said that he had taken drugs from Elman and Nazrin, and the police started their search.
During the operation, the residents of the capital Nazrin Farzullazadeh and Elman Alverdiyev were detained. 1 kilogram 627 grams of heroin and 465 grams of opium were found in the house in Lokbatan settlement where N.Fazrullazadeh lives, and 230 grams of heroin from the house in Khirdalan city where E. Alverdiyev lives.
The detainees admitted that they were dealing with drug trafficking. They said they received drugs from an Iranian citizen through a person named Vusal, who lives in Sumgayit. Vusal Azizov, who was involved in selling drugs, was also detained as a continuation of operational measures by the office staff. V. Azizov said that he brought drugs to the country for sale with help of a citizen of Iran who he had previously met.
A criminal case has been initiated against the people detained in relation with the fact at the Investigation Department of Garadagh DPD under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. Operational-investigations and examinations are ongoing.
