Police officers eliminated more than 600 kilograms of narcotic substances.

The internal affairs authorities are successfully continuing measures to detect plants containing narcotic substances grown by cultivation.

According to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of the operation carried out by officers of the Criminal Investigation Division and the Anti-Drugs Division of the Khatai District Police Department, Denis Ardatyev, previously convicted, was arrested for drug trafficking.

During a personal search, marijuana was found at him. During the initial interrogation, D. Ardatyev said that a few days before, he had collected and retained several leaves of a plant with a specific odor hanging over the fence of an unknown person in the village of Buzovna, Khazar district.

During the operation carried out by the staff of the division, at that address, the owner of the house, a resident of the capital, Eldaniz Rustamov, was detained. During the inspection of the greenhouse in his yard 1206 units of hemp bushes with a total weight of 556 kilograms, as well as a mass of dried marijuana of 65 kilograms were found. Rustamov admitted that he planted plants containing narcotic substances in March and provided them with special care. His goal was to sell hemp after drying. During the search, in a Saipa car, which was driven by E. Rustamov, 2 grams of marijuana was also found and seized, packed in a cigarette box.

A criminal case has been opened in Khatai District Police Department. Operational and investigative measures are being continued.
