Recently, some online newspapers have spread unacknowledged news aimed at emerging unreasonable panics in society about appearance of new gangs, attacking cars parked in the street and women returning from wedding ceremonies at night, and committing a robbery and theft in Baku.

It is worthy to note that, first of all, they are acts of crime committed on different occasions and by different individuals. Consequently, criminal cases have been initiated on the basis of complaints in this direction, most of them have been uncovered in hot pursuit, and the suspects have been brought to justice.

Currently, the operational-investigative works are pursued. Baku city Main Police Department reiterates the role of such unverified information that causes groundless confusion in society and emphasizes the importance of reviewing the obtained information in several resources before publication.
