Instead of turning it over willingly, the guy who had concealed the Kalashnikov assault gun was taken into custody

Police officers are taking steps to find those who are unlawfully storing weapons and ammunition.

Following a subsequent course of action based on operational information obtained by the Nizami District Police Department’s Anti-Narcotics Department employees, Rasim Rahimov, a 1969-born capital city resident with a prior conviction, was placed under arrest within the Nizami District. That individual was found to have one “Kalashnikov” machine gun, thirty cartridges, and a comb removed from them. After being offered an explanation during the inquiry, R. Rahimov stated that he had previously purchased the machine gun, but he chose to keep it rather than willingly turn it over to the authorities. There are continuing investigations.
